How to Craft and Place Lattices for Decorative Walls and Fences

Lattices are thin, grid-like decorative blocks that read as trellis work, window grilles, or garden fencing. They come in the same wood variants as the rest of the mod's wood set.

Crafting

Lattices are crafted from the matching wood type. Open your recipe book or a recipe viewer and search "Lattice" — the mod adds one recipe per wood variant, so pick the one that matches your build palette. Because they use ordinary planks, they are cheap to mass-produce once you have a tree farm running.

Placing Lattices

Lattices are designed to be placed flat against surfaces or as thin partitions. Place them the same way you would place a trapdoor or pane: aim at the face of a block and interact. They occupy a thin slice of the block space, so you can stack them in front of solid walls to add depth without taking up a full block.

Build Ideas

  • Cover a plain stone wall with a lattice layer to break up flatness.
  • Use lattices as railings around balconies and stairwells.
  • Frame a window with a lattice on the outside and blinds on the inside.
  • Alternate two wood types in a checker pattern for a woven look.

Lattices are purely decorative — they do not block movement or sight the way a full block does, so treat them as visual trim rather than security.
