How to Use the Induction Card to Charge Items Wirelessly

What the Induction Card Does

The Induction Card is the key item that lets you charge FE-powered tools, armor, and gadgets directly from your ME network. Without it, your network only stores energy — it does not push it into your inventory.

Crafting the Card

Craft the Induction Card using an Energy Processor, Insulating Resin, and the other ingredients shown in JEI. You will need at least one Energy Processor per card, so set up an Inscriber Energy Press early.

Installing and Using It

Place the Induction Card into a slot in your ME network's access terminal or into a Flux Accessor that is connected to the network. Once installed, any FE-using item in your inventory (or in the access terminal's inventory) will be topped up automatically as long as the network has stored FE. This is the same convenience as a wireless charger but tied to your ME storage.

Tips

  • Keep a Portable Cell in your inventory as a backup so you can charge away from base.
  • If items are not charging, verify the network has FE stored (check the cell's tooltip) and that the Induction Card is actually inserted, not just crafted.
  • Larger storage cells let you charge more items before needing to refill from generators.
