Why Portable Cells Matter

Portable FE Cells are inventory-friendly versions of the ME FE Storage Cells. They let you carry a chunk of your base's energy with you, so you can recharge tools, jetpacks, or armor far from your ME network.

Crafting a Portable Cell

Take a standard ME FE Storage Cell of the tier you want (1k, 4k, 16k, and so on) and combine it with the portable housing ingredients shown in JEI. The resulting Portable FE Cell keeps the same capacity as its stationary counterpart but fits in your inventory.

Charging It at Base

Place the Portable Cell into your ME network — either in an ME Drive or via a Flux Accessor — and let it fill up. Once full, pick it up and carry it with you.

Using It in the Field

Hold the Portable Cell and use it to charge FE items in your inventory, or place it down and connect machines to it directly. When it runs low, bring it back to base and recharge it from your ME storage. For long trips, carry two: one in use, one charging back home. Higher tiers (256k and up) are ideal for extended expeditions or for powering portable machine setups.
