How to Set Up Your First ME Energy Storage in Applied Flux
Crafting the Basic Storage
Start by producing the foundational materials: Diamond Dust and Emerald Dust (made by grinding the respective gems), Insulating Resin, and Harden Insulating Resin. You will also need an Energy Processor, which is created using the Inscriber Energy Press. Once you have these, craft a 1k ME Energy Storage Component — this is the smallest building block for ME-side energy storage.
Building the Cell
Combine the 1k ME Energy Storage Component with the housing materials specified in JEI to produce a 1k ME FE Storage Cell. This cell stores Forge Energy (FE) and exposes it to your ME network. Place the cell and connect it to your ME system via ME cables or a Flux Accessor.
Charging and Using It
Insert the cell into an ME Drive or connect it directly. Your ME network will now accept FE from generators, cables, or other FE sources and buffer it inside the cell. Machines that draw FE from the ME network — or that you route through a Flux Accessor — will pull from this buffer. Upgrade to larger components (4k, 16k, 64k, and beyond) as your power demands grow; each tier simply swaps the storage component inside the same cell recipe.
