Fixing Animated GUI and Menu Textures That Won't Move
Animated GUI textures are one of the headline features of Animatica, and they are also the ones players notice first when they break. If your menus, buttons, or HUD elements are frozen while the rest of the pack works, work through these checks in order.
Confirm the pack targets GUI at all
Many packs animate blocks and entities but leave GUI textures static on purpose. Look for .properties files under the gui or textures/gui path in the pack. No file there means no animation to enable — this is a pack limitation, not a bug.
Watch for conflicts with other interface mods
Mods that redraw or replace GUI textures can override the animated version. If you run anything that restyles the inventory, chat, or HUD, try disabling it temporarily and reloading resources. When the animation appears, you have found the conflict and can decide which mod you actually want controlling that texture.
Reload properly
GUI textures are cached aggressively. A simple resource reload sometimes is not enough. Fully close and reopen the game once after changing packs, then check again. If the animation still will not play, test with only Animatica and the animated pack enabled, with every other resource pack moved below or disabled. This isolates whether the pack itself is broken or something else is intercepting the texture.
