Diagnosing a Resource Pack That Loads but Shows No Animations
You installed Animatica, dropped in an animated pack, and nothing moves. This guide walks through the realistic causes so you can stop guessing.
Rule out the pack first
The single most common cause is a pack that never had animations to begin with, or one whose animation files were stripped when it was reuploaded. Open the pack archive and search for .properties files. If there are none, no amount of configuration will produce animation. If there are some, note which folders they sit in — that tells you exactly which textures should animate, and you can test those specific ones.
Rule out conflicts
Resource packs stack. A pack above yours that touches the same texture wins, and its static version replaces your animated one. Disable every other pack, keep only Animatica and the animated pack, and reload. If animations appear, re-enable your other packs one at a time until they stop — the last one you added is the culprit.
Rule out mod conflicts
Mods that replace rendering for entities, GUI, or armor can bypass Animatica's animated layers. Temporarily remove rendering-heavy mods and retest. If the animation returns, you have a compatibility issue rather than a broken pack.
Last resort
Delete the pack's cached copy from the resource packs folder, re-add it fresh, and do a full game restart. Corrupted or partially downloaded packs can load without error yet fail to animate.
