Tuning Accelerated Rendering for Maximum FPS in Crowded Areas
The whole point of the mod is smoother framerates where lots of entities and complex models are on screen. Getting the most out of it means matching its settings to your hardware and your world.
Start from Defaults
Leave the mod's acceleration features at their default state first and measure your FPS in a busy area — a village, a mob farm, or a server hub. Note the number, then change one setting at a time so you can tell what actually helps.
What to Adjust
Enable entity acceleration if it is off; this is the core feature and usually the biggest win. If you have many complex modded models, make sure vertex caching is active so repeated transformations are reused. Turn on force translucent acceleration only if items render wrong — it is a correctness fix, not a speed boost. If you use shaders, test with and without them, since shader packs can dominate performance.
Reducing Other Bottlenecks
If FPS is still low after enabling acceleration, the limit may be elsewhere: lower render distance, reduce entity distance, or cut particle counts. Acceleration only speeds up vertex transformation, so it will not help if your bottleneck is chunk loading or lighting. Compare FPS with the mod disabled to confirm it is actually contributing, and keep the settings that give the best result for your setup.
