Fixing Broken or Invisible Items with Force Translucent Acceleration
Items held in hand, dropped on the ground, or shown in GUIs can render incorrectly when the mod accelerates their vertex transformations — appearing invisible, black, or with wrong transparency. The mod includes a force translucent acceleration option specifically for this.
What the Option Does
Some item models use translucent rendering (glass, potions, certain enchanted or modded items). When acceleration treats them as opaque, the alpha channel is lost and they vanish or turn solid. Force translucent acceleration tells the mod to route those models through the translucent path so their transparency is preserved.
Turning It On
Open the in-game config editor and find the translucent acceleration toggle. Enable it, then look at a held item and a dropped item to confirm they render. If you prefer the file, edit the acceleratedrendering client config and set the translucent acceleration entry to true, then restart the client.
When to Leave It Off
Forcing translucent acceleration on all items costs a little performance and can cause sorting
artifacts with overlapping
transparent models. If your items already look correct, leave it disabled. Enable it only when you actually see missing or opaque items, and disable it again if you notice z-fighting or flicker between stacked
transparent items.
