How to Use Rail Tracks on Abridged Mod Bridges

Identifying Rail Bridges

Some Abridged Mod bridge variants generate with usable rail tracks running along the deck. These are the easiest to spot because the rails sit flush on the bridge surface rather than being decorative. Not every bridge has them — wood and stone variants differ, and only certain themes include functional rails.

Riding Across

Place a minecart on the rail line at either end of the bridge and right-click to enter. The cart will roll along the track as long as the rails are continuous. If you find a break in the line, you can bridge the gap by placing your own rails on the missing blocks, provided the bridge surface is solid underneath. Bring a few rails and a minecart with you when exploring, since you cannot craft the bridge's built-in rails.

Connecting to Your Own Tracks

You can extend the bridge's rail line by placing rails on adjacent ground and linking them to your own rail network. This turns a generated bridge into part of your transport route. Just make sure the elevation matches — bridge rails are often level, so build ramps or use powered rails to climb if your base sits higher.
