Setting Up Your First Base in the City

Choose Your Location Wisely

When you first spawn into the city, avoid staying in the open streets. Look for a building that offers multiple advantages: multiple floors for escape routes, windows you can defend from, and ideally a roof access point. Multi-story office buildings and apartment complexes work well. Avoid ground-level-only structures as zombies can trap you inside.

Secure Your Building

Once you've selected a building, block off ground-level entrances with blocks or doors you can control. Clear out any zombies already inside by fighting or luring them away. Establish a main room on an upper floor where you'll store supplies and sleep. Create a secondary lookout position where you can monitor the streets without being seen.

Stock Supplies

Before nightfall, gather basic materials: food, weapons, and building blocks. Prioritize finding a bed so you can sleep through the night and skip the most dangerous hours. Store extra weapons and healing items in your base for emergencies. Keep your base organized so you can quickly grab what you need during a siege.
