ZZAM City Map FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What do I do first when I load into ZZAM City Map?
Find a defensible building quickly—preferably one with few entry points—and secure it as your base before nightfall. Gather basic supplies like food and crafting materials from nearby buildings, then prepare defenses for the first zombie wave.
Where should I set up my base?
Look for buildings with limited doors and windows, elevated positions, or structures that are easy to barricade. Avoid ground-level open areas and prioritize locations near supply-rich zones so you can scavenge without traveling far.
How do I find supplies in abandoned buildings?
Search inside buildings systematically—check containers, shelves, and storage areas for food, tools, and materials. Be cautious when entering, as zombies may be hiding inside, and always have an escape route planned.
What's the best way to defend my base during a zombie siege?
Reinforce entry points with barricades or barriers, position yourself at high ground if possible, and use ranged weapons to thin the horde before they reach you. Keep a clear escape route in case you get overwhelmed.
Do zombies spawn infinitely or is there a wave system?
Zombies spawn in waves that intensify over time, with more appearing as you survive longer. The longer you last, the larger and more frequent the hordes become.
Can I use the ZAo Zombie Apocalypse add-on with this map?
Yes—ZZAM City Map is specifically designed as the official environment for ZAo, and the two work together seamlessly to enhance the zombie apocalypse experience.
What happens if my base gets overrun?
If zombies breach your defenses, you'll need to either fight them off or flee to another building. Losing your base means you'll have to find a new location and rebuild your supplies and defenses.
Is there a goal or end condition, or do I just survive as long as possible?
There's no set end goal—the challenge is to survive as many days as possible against increasingly difficult zombie waves. Your score is determined by how long you last before being defeated.
Should I stay in one base or move around the city?
Staying in one well-defended base is generally safer, but moving allows you to access new supply caches and avoid being trapped. A mix of both—maintaining a primary base while making supply runs—often works best.
Does this map work in multiplayer or only single-player?
ZZAM City Map supports multiplayer, allowing you and other players to survive together and coordinate defenses against the zombie hordes.
