Zombies Revamped Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need a mod loader or is this just a resource pack?
This is a resource pack only—no mod loader required. Drop it into your resource packs folder and enable it in the resource pack menu; it works with vanilla Minecraft.
Why do zombies look different in different biomes?
Zombies Revamped includes biome-specific variants so zombies match their environment—desert zombies look weathered, swamp zombies appear decayed, and so on. This is handled entirely by the resource pack's texture system.
The zombie sounds are too loud or too quiet. How do I fix this?
Adjust the master volume or mob sounds slider in Minecraft's audio settings, or edit the resource pack's sound configuration file to lower individual zombie sound volumes if you want finer control.
Can I use this with other zombie-related resource packs?
No—only one resource pack can override zombie textures and sounds at a time. If you enable multiple packs, the one highest in your list will take priority and may conflict with others.
My zombies still look vanilla. What's wrong?
Make sure the resource pack is enabled and ranked above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list, and check that you're on a compatible Minecraft version for this pack.
Does this work on multiplayer servers?
Yes—resource packs are client-side only, so you can use it on any server without the server needing to install anything.
Will this slow down my game?
HD textures use more memory, but performance impact is usually minimal on modern systems; if you experience lag, try lowering your render distance or texture resolution settings.
Are baby zombies and zombie villagers also redesigned?
Yes, all zombie variants including baby zombies and zombie villagers receive the Revamped treatment with updated textures and sounds.
Can I customize which biome variants appear where?
The biome variants are baked into the resource pack's texture system and cannot be customized without editing the pack files directly.
What Minecraft versions does this support?
Check the resource pack's description or download page for the list of supported versions; it's designed for modern versions but may not work on very old snapshots.
