Find Shelter Before Dusk

Zombies in this mod hunt intelligently and coordinate attacks. Build or locate a shelter with a single entrance before nightfall. Avoid large open spaces—the horde will use their circling tactic to trap you.

Minimize Noise and Movement

Walk instead of running, even when panicked. Running creates vibrations that alert nearby zombies and draw distant hordes toward you. Breaking blocks, mining, and firing arrows all generate noise that spreads through the zombie network. If you must gather resources, do it during daylight when spawn rates are lower.

Prepare Your Shelter

Use solid blocks (wood, stone, or better) for walls at least two blocks thick. Zombies will attempt to break through weak materials like dirt or leaves. Leave only one door and keep it closed. Avoid windows at ground level—Assassin mutations can sneak invisibly and strike through gaps.

Once sealed in, remain still and quiet. Zombies remember your last known location and will patrol that area. If you hear the horde outside, do not open doors or make noise. They will eventually move on to search elsewhere.
