Manage Noise and Avoid Attracting the Horde While Gathering Resources
Plan Your Gathering Routes
Identify resource locations during daylight when you can scout safely. Map out quiet routes that minimize block-breaking and movement. Avoid areas near known zombie spawn points. Use /za info to understand current horde activity and intensity.
Gather Silently and Quickly
Walk, never run. Use tools suited to the job—a proper pickaxe breaks blocks faster and quieter than punching. Mine only what you need; excessive block-breaking creates noise that spreads through the zombie network. Collect resources in short bursts rather than long sessions.
Avoid Noise-Generating Activities
Do not shoot bows or crossbows unless necessary—projectiles alert nearby zombies. Avoid explosions from TNT or creepers. Do not break glass or create large cavities. If you must farm animals, do it inside your base where noise is contained.
Escape Routes and Timing
Always have a clear path back to shelter. Gather during early morning when zombie activity is lowest. If you hear groaning or see movement, abandon your task immediately and return home. It is better to lose resources than to lead the horde to your base.
