Set Up Your First Zipline

Gather Your Materials

Before you can slide, you need a compatible cable or chain. This mod doesn't add its own wires—you must use cables from other mods like Reconnectible Chains or Station Decoration. Equip a pickaxe or wrench in your hand; these are the default zipline tools.

Attach and Slide

1. Place or locate a cable/chain block in your world

2. Hold your pickaxe or wrench

3. Look directly at the cable block

4. Hold right-click to grab the line

5. Your character will attach and begin sliding along the path

6. Look in the direction you want to move to control your momentum

Understand Your Movement

When sliding downhill, you'll accelerate naturally. Going uphill will slow you down. This momentum-based physics makes ziplines feel dynamic and rewarding. If you prefer constant speed instead, check your mod settings for Arcade Mode—it removes realistic physics for simpler, uniform sliding.

Your tool will gradually wear down with use, so bring spares or repair it at an anvil when needed.
