Ziplines Rezipped Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using ziplines?
Equip a pickaxe or wrench in your hand, aim at a compatible cable or chain block from another mod, and hold right-click to attach yourself. You'll automatically slide along the line in the direction you're looking.
What cables and chains work with this mod?
Ziplines Rezipped works with cables and chains from other mods like Reconnectible Chains and Station Decoration. The mod doesn't add its own cables, so you need to install at least one mod that provides wires or chains.
Can I use items other than pickaxes and wrenches?
Yes, you can add any item to work as a zipline tool by creating a data pack that adds it to the zipline attachment tag. Check the guides on custom items to learn how to set this up.
Why am I slowing down when I go uphill on a zipline?
That's the momentum physics system working as intended—you gain speed sliding downward and lose speed going upward, just like real gravity. If you prefer constant speed, you can switch to Arcade Mode in the settings.
How do I turn off momentum physics?
Enable Arcade Mode in your mod settings to slide at a constant speed regardless of direction. This removes the realistic physics and makes ziplining feel more arcade-like.
My tool keeps breaking while ziplining—how do I fix this?
Tool durability is consumed as you slide, but you can adjust or disable this in the mod's configuration settings. Check the tool durability guide for options to reduce wear or turn it off completely.
I can't attach to the cable—what's wrong?
Make sure you're holding a valid zipline tool (pickaxe or wrench by default), aiming directly at a compatible cable block, and using right-click. If the cable is from a mod that isn't supported, it won't work.
Can I control my direction while sliding?
Yes, look in the direction you want to move while holding right-click on the line. Your view direction controls which way you slide along the cable.
Does this mod work with other mods?
Yes, Ziplines Rezipped is designed to work alongside mods that add cables and chains. It has no conflicts with most mods, but compatibility depends on whether those mods use standard cable or chain blocks.
What happens if I let go of the zipline?
You'll fall off the line and drop to the ground below, taking fall damage based on your height. Release right-click to detach from the cable at any time.
