Manage Tool Durability While Ziplining
How Durability Works
Each time you slide along a cable, your equipped tool takes durability damage. This encourages you to maintain your gear and plan longer journeys carefully. The amount of damage per block depends on your mod settings.
Reduce Wear and Tear
1. Bring multiple tools on long expeditions
2. Repair your tool at an anvil between zipline runs
3. Use tools with high durability values
4. Check your mod config—you can adjust or disable durability loss entirely if it feels too punishing
Plan Your Routes
Consider tool durability when designing zipline networks. If you're building a massive cross-continent cable system, factor in how many trips players will make and whether they'll need repair stations along the way.
If durability becomes annoying, disabling it in the mod settings is perfectly valid. The feature exists for immersion and resource management, but your world, your rules.
