How to Lock the Camera or Keep It Centered on Your Character

Two Camera Behaviors

The mod lets you either lock the camera in a fixed position or keep it centered on your character's eyes. Locking is useful for static shots of a build or a fixed observation point. Centering is useful when you want a third-person-style view that still follows your player.

Locking the Camera

1. Activate FreeCam and fly to the position you want to film from.

2. Enable the lock option in the mod's controls or config. The camera will stop following your movement input and stay where it is.

3. You can still look around to aim the shot, but the camera will not drift.

4. Unlock when you want to fly again.

Centering on Your Character

1. Enable the centered mode so the camera stays anchored to your player's eye position.

2. Move your player normally; the camera follows. This is handy for recording yourself building or fighting from a detached angle.

3. Combine with the hand and crosshair rendering options if you want a clean shot without UI elements.

Choosing Between Them

Use lock for tripod-style shots and centered mode for follow-cam footage. Switch between them depending on whether the subject is the world or your character.
