How to Get Biome-Specific Bridge Variants

Understand the Variant System

YUNG's Bridges Mod doesn't just add one bridge — it adds over fifteen bridge types, and each type has biome-specific variants. That means the same structural concept (a rope bridge, a stone arch, a wooden trestle) will use different materials, colors, and decorative blocks depending on where it spawns. A bridge in a jungle might use vines and mossy stone, while the same layout in a savanna uses acacia and terracotta.

Target the Biome You Want

1. Decide which bridge style you want. If you've seen screenshots of a specific bridge, note the biome in the background — that's your target.

2. Travel to that biome. Use biome-locating tools, or simply explore until you enter the correct biome type.

3. Stay inside the biome's borders while exploring. Bridges generate based on the biome at their location, so crossing into a neighboring biome changes what can spawn.

4. Generate new chunks. Existing chunks won't retroactively gain bridges, so keep moving into fresh terrain.

Collecting Variants

If you want to build a collection or study the designs, mark each bridge you find with a banner or a waypoint. Because variants are tied to biomes, a single biome will usually only produce one or two styles — you'll need to visit many biomes to see them all. Modded biomes from other world-gen mods can also host bridges, so exploring modded terrain is worthwhile.
