YUNG’s Bridges Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find bridges in my world?
Just explore the surface and look for them spanning ravines, rivers, and valleys — they generate naturally like villages or temples. If you already have a world, you may need to travel into newly generated chunks, since structures only appear in terrain that hasn't been loaded yet.
Do bridges spawn in already-generated chunks?
No. Like most world-gen structures, bridges are placed when chunks are first generated, so existing explored areas won't retroactively gain them. You'll need to explore fresh terrain or start a new world to see them.
Why can't I find any bridges?
Bridges are rare structures, so a short trip may not turn one up — keep exploring different biomes and terrain types. Also make sure the mod is actually loaded and that your world was created with it enabled.
What biomes do bridges spawn in?
Bridges appear across many biomes, and each bridge type has biome-specific variants, so the same bridge looks different depending on where it generates. Exploring a range of biomes is the best way to see the full variety.
How do I get the biome-specific bridge variants?
You don't craft or choose them — the variant is determined automatically by the biome the bridge generates in. To see a specific variant, travel to the biome it belongs to and look for bridges there.
Are bridges safe to use as a base?
Yes, bridges make good bases and landmarks since they're elevated and often span useful terrain. Just watch for mobs spawning on and under them, and light up the area if you plan to stay.
Can I use bridges as a travel route?
Bridges often cross ravines, rivers, and other obstacles, so they can serve as convenient elevated paths. They won't connect into a full road network, but they're handy shortcuts when you find one.
Is this mod compatible with other world-gen mods?
Yes, it's designed to work alongside other world generation mods, including YUNG's other structure mods and terrain mods like Terraforged. Bridges will still generate in worlds shaped by those mods.
Will bridges conflict with Better Mineshafts or Better Strongholds?
No, they're built to coexist, so you can run them together without bridges failing to spawn. If two structures overlap, the game handles placement, though occasional awkward intersections can happen with any structure mods.
Does adding this mod hurt performance?
Structure mods add little ongoing performance cost since generation happens as chunks load, not every tick. The main impact is slightly longer chunk generation when new terrain is created, which is normal for world-gen mods.
