How to Find a Better Witch Hut in a Swamp

Locating the Structure

Better Witch Huts spawn in swamp biomes, just like the vanilla version, but the mod replaces the old flat platform design with taller, more detailed wooden structures on stilts. Because they sit above the waterline on legs, they can be harder to spot from a distance than the original huts — scan for dark wood silhouettes rising above the swamp canopy rather than a low roof at water level.

Search Strategy

• Travel by boat along swamp waterways; the huts are often placed near or over shallow water, so a boat gives you the best sightlines.
• Watch for witch spawns. Witches naturally congregate around the hut, so a cluster of them usually means you are close.
• Use a night vision potion or place torches as you go — swamp fog and foliage hide the stilts easily.
• If you have a map mod or explorer map, mark any swamp you cross so you can return.

Once You Arrive

Climb the stilts or build up to the main platform. Inside you will find brewing stands and chests. Loot the chests for the improved rewards, and check the brewing stands — they can contain items that hint at vanilla potion recipes, so pick those up too. Clear any witches before you start looting so you are not knocked into the water mid-search.
