How to Install YUNG's API Correctly Alongside Other Mods
Where the API Belongs
YUNG's API is a library, so it goes in the same mods folder as the mods that require it. It does not need to be enabled in a world or configured — simply having it present is enough. Place it in the mods directory for your profile, not in a resource pack or datapack folder.
Matching Loader and Version
1. Identify which loader you use (Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge). The API build must match that loader.
2. Match the API to your Minecraft version. A build made for a different game version will usually fail to load or cause registry errors.
3. Install the API before or alongside the dependent YUNG's mods; load order is handled automatically, but all files must be present at launch.
4. If you use a mod manager or launcher profile, add the API to the same instance as the mods that need it — not a separate profile.
Verifying It Loaded
After launching, open the mod list screen. YUNG's API should appear as an installed mod. If a dependent mod shows as missing its dependency, the API jar is either absent, the wrong loader, or the wrong game version. Fix the mismatch and relaunch.
