Protect Multiple Dimensions with Global and Dimensional Regions

Understanding Dimensional Regions

The mod automatically creates separate regions for each dimension—Overworld, Nether, End, and any modded dimensions. This means you can apply different protection rules to the same coordinates across different worlds.

Using Global Regions for Server-Wide Rules

Global Regions override dimensional boundaries and apply protection across all dimensions simultaneously. Use these to enforce server-wide rules:

  • Disable mob griefing everywhere
  • Prevent explosions in all worlds
  • Control PvP across dimensions

Global flags act as a baseline; Local and Dimensional Regions can override them for specific areas.

Setting Up Multi-Dimensional Protection

Create Local Regions in your Overworld base, then configure matching protection in the Nether and End using their respective Dimensional Regions. This ensures consistent safety whether players travel between worlds or establish outposts in different dimensions. Configure each dimension's flags independently to account for dimension-specific threats like ghasts in the Nether.
