Ye Gamol Chattels Reborn is a decorative mod, so most of what you make begins with wood and the right tool in hand. The mod adds a set of hand tools — the carving chisel, point chisel, iron saw, club hammer, mallet, and sand paper — that you use to work planks into more refined forms.

Start by gathering ordinary planks. Using the saw and chisels, you can turn them into refined planks, and then smooth them further with sand paper. Each wood type the mod supports (oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, and dark oak) has its own refined and smoothed variants, so pick the wood that matches the look you want.

The grindstone and grindstone base are also part of the mod's crafting chain, and flax seeds can be grown into flax fiber, which feeds into linseed oil. Treat these as the raw materials behind the mod's finished decorative pieces rather than as decorations themselves.
