How to Control Which Items Appear Using Item IDs

Beyond the simple on/off toggles, this mod lets you decide which specific items are allowed to render on your character by referencing their item IDs. This is useful when you want a modded weapon to show but want to block a similar-looking item, or when a particular item renders awkwardly.

Finding an Item's ID

Every item in Minecraft has a registry name (its ID). You can find it by hovering over the item while advanced tooltips are enabled, or by checking the mod that adds the item. The ID is the internal name, not the display name you see in your inventory.

Using IDs in the Config

Open the settings menu with V and look for the item-ID control options. Here you specify which items are permitted to display. Items whose IDs aren't listed, or that are explicitly excluded, won't render on your character even if their slot toggle is on.

Practical Uses

  • Whitelist a specific modded sword so only it shows, keeping vanilla swords hidden.
  • Block an item that clips through your armor model.
  • Keep your display consistent across different gear sets.

Because the mod is built for compatibility with other mods' items, ID-based control is the reliable way to handle gear from mods the toggles don't recognize by default.
