How do I use the see-through boat?
Simply enter a wooden boat or chest boat as you normally would—the resource pack automatically makes the bottom transparent so you can see straight down into the water. No special crafting or activation needed; just row and look down.
Does this work with all boat types?
Yes, the resource pack applies to all wooden boats (oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak, and mangrove) as well as chest boats. The transparent effect works the same way on every variant.
Can I see through the boat from outside the water too?
The transparent bottom is most useful when the boat is on water, as that's when you're looking down into the ocean. On land or in other situations, the effect still applies but is less practical.
Will this resource pack affect my game performance?
No, this is a very lightweight visual change that only modifies the boat texture. It has virtually no impact on frame rate or performance, even on older computers.
Does the transparent boat work in multiplayer?
Yes, the resource pack works in both single-player and multiplayer worlds. Other players will see your boat with the transparent bottom if they also have the pack installed.
Can I still use the boat normally while looking down?
Absolutely—you can row, steer, and control the boat exactly as normal while viewing through the transparent floor. The pack only changes the appearance, not the boat's mechanics.
What if I want to turn off the transparent effect temporarily?
You can disable the resource pack through your resource pack menu in Minecraft's settings, then re-enable it whenever you want. Simply unload it to return to normal boats.
Does this work with mods that add custom boats?
The resource pack only affects vanilla Minecraft boats. Custom boats from other mods will not have the transparent effect unless those mods are specifically compatible.
Can I see hostile mobs underwater through the boat floor?
Yes, you can spot any underwater mobs—including drowned, guardians, and other creatures—through the transparent bottom, which helps you avoid danger while exploring.
Does the transparent boat work in the Nether or End?
