How to Enable and Configure Shaders in XPlus PerioTable
Turning On Shaders
XPlus PerioTable ships with Iris, so you do not need to install a separate shader loader. Open your video settings and look for the shader pack selection screen. From there you can pick a shader pack you have placed in the shaderpacks folder and toggle it on. If the option is greyed out, make sure your graphics driver supports the required OpenGL features and that you are not running another shader mod alongside Iris.
Tuning Performance
Shaders can tank your frame rate, so use the in-game shader options to disable expensive effects like volumetric clouds, high-resolution shadows, or waving water if you are on weaker hardware. The FPS and TPS readouts from the game information display mod let you watch the impact live while you toggle settings. If you notice stuttering, lower the shadow resolution first, then reduce render distance. Keep in mind that Iris works best when Sodium-style rendering optimizations are present, which this pack already includes.
Switching Packs Quickly
You can swap shader packs without restarting the game. Press the shader selection keybind, choose a different pack, and apply. This is useful for comparing performance between a lightweight pack for mining and a heavier one for screenshots.
