Press Escape and go to Options, then Controls, where each included mod registers its own keybind category. You can also open Mod Menu from the main menu to reach per-mod config screens directly.

Shaders are not enabled by default, so you need to turn them on in the Iris shader settings and pick a shaderpack. Without a shaderpack selected, Iris stays inactive and the game renders in vanilla style.

The pack includes an R-key (middle-click) inventory sorting mod, so pressing R while hovering over a container or your inventory sorts the items. Check the Controls menu if the key conflicts with another mod's bind.

Open your inventory and hover over the item, then press the REI recipe key (default is usually R or U depending on your bind) to see how it's crafted or used. You can also search the REI item list on the right side of the inventory screen.

Enable the light-level display mod in its config, which overlays numbers on blocks showing the current light level. Use this to spot dark spots where hostile mobs can spawn and place torches accordingly.

Shaders are the biggest performance cost, so try disabling them or lowering shader settings first. You can also reduce minimap render distance and disable information display modules you don't need, since each active HUD element costs some performance.

Open the minimap's waypoint menu (usually via a keybind in the Controls menu or by right-clicking the minimap) and add a new waypoint at your current position. You can name it, assign a color, and it will appear on the minimap and in the world as a marker.

Tweakeroo is a client-side tweak mod that adds optional features like flexible block placement, fast crafting, and various toggles you enable individually in its config menu. It doesn't change vanilla mechanics unless you turn specific tweaks on, so explore the config to see what's available.

WorldEdit commands work the same as in any modpack, but they typically require operator permissions on a server or cheats enabled in singleplayer. Use the wand item or the selection commands to define a region, then apply your edit commands.

Most of the included mods are client-side, so you can join vanilla or modded servers without the server needing the pack installed. However, mods like WorldEdit require server-side installation and permissions, so check with your server admin before relying on them.
