How to Create, Name, and Manage Waypoints in Xaero's Minimap

Creating a Waypoint

Press B while standing where you want the marker. A waypoint is dropped at your current coordinates and a small editor window opens. From here you can rename it, pick a color, and choose an icon (house, skull, diamond, etc.) so different locations are easy to tell apart at a glance. Confirm to save it.

Managing Your Waypoint List

Press U to open the full waypoint list. Every waypoint you have ever made lives here, even ones currently hidden from the world. From this screen you can:

  • Toggle a waypoint's visibility so it shows or hides on the minimap and in-world.
  • Edit its name, color, or icon again.
  • Delete waypoints you no longer need.
  • Sort or scroll through them when the list gets long.

Teleporting to a Waypoint

If cheats/teleporting are enabled in your world, you can jump straight to a waypoint from the list. This is handy for returning to a base or a far-off mining site without walking.

Deathpoints

When you die, the mod automatically creates a deathpoint at your death location. It appears in your list like any other waypoint, so you can navigate back to recover your items. Treat it as a normal waypoint — rename it, recolor it, or delete it once you've retrieved your gear.
