Troubleshooting Missing or Wrong Waystone Markers on Xaero's Maps

Common Causes

If waystone markers vanish, appear in the wrong place, or stop updating, the issue is almost always configuration or mod-load order rather than the integration itself. Xaeros Maps x Waystones Mod depends on both parent mods being present and compatible.

Fixes to Try

1. Verify both Xaero's Minimap/World Map and your Waystones mod are enabled in the same profile.

2. Check Xaero's settings for any marker, entity, or "other mods" toggle that could be suppressing waystone icons.

3. Reload the world or reconnect to the server — markers sometimes need a refresh after config changes.

4. If markers are offset from the actual block, confirm you are not running mismatched versions of the minimap and the bridge.

5. On servers, ask whether the server-side Waystones mod is installed; client markers cannot show waystones the server does not have.

When to Reset Config

If toggling settings does nothing, back up and reset the Xaero's map config files, then re-enable waystone markers from scratch. This clears stale marker data that can linger after mod updates. After resetting, revisit a known waystone to confirm markers reappear correctly before relying on them for travel.
