How to Enable Fair-Play Mode on Your Server with Xaero's Map Server Utils
Fair-play mode is the core feature of this mod. It disables the client-side advantages that Xaero's Minimap and World Map normally give players, such as cave mode and entity radar, so nobody can see through walls or track other players unfairly.
Activating Fair-Play
Run the following from your server console or as an operator in-game:
`
/function xaero:fairxaero
`
This applies the fair-play
restrictions server-side. Because the mod enforces these rules on the server, players cannot bypass them by changing their client settings. If a player has cave mode or entity radar enabled locally, the server simply won't send them the data needed to use those features.
Hiding the Notification
By default, players receive a system message telling them the rules have changed. If you want to apply fair-play silently (for example, during a tournament without tipping off participants), prefix the command with silent/:
`
/function xaero:silent/fairxaero
`
Use this when you want enforcement without an announcement. To undo the change later, run the same command without the silent prefix to restore normal behavior and notify players.
