How to Completely Disable the Minimap for All Players

Sometimes fair-play mode isn't enough. On hardcore PvP servers, hide-and-seek events, or certain minigames, you may want to remove the minimap entirely so players have no positional awareness beyond what they can see.

Disabling the Minimap

Run this command from your server console or as an operator:

`

/function xaero:nominimap

`

This turns off the minimap for everyone connected. The restriction is enforced server-side, so players cannot re-enable it through their client's settings menu. Their Xaero's Minimap will simply stop receiving the data it needs to render.

Silent Application

If you don't want players to see the system message confirming the change, use:

`

/function xaero:silent/nominimap

`

This is useful during events where you want the minimap gone without drawing attention to it. Note that this is more restrictive than fair-play mode — fair-play keeps the minimap but strips unfair features, while this command removes the minimap altogether. Choose based on how competitive your server is.
