X-PlayerInfo Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the player stats screen?
Press the TAB key while in-game to open the full-screen player information display. This will show all your current stats including damage, armor, XP, and movement data.
Can I customize what stats appear on the display?
Yes, you can customize which stats display by editing the configuration file located at 'config/X-PlayerInfo.json'. Modify the settings to show only the information you want to see.
What does the mockTest option do?
When enabled in the config file, mockTest simulates attacks on your player to provide more precise damage and armor data. However, it can conflict with other mods that use interruptible actions like waystones, so enable it only if you need the extra accuracy.
Why is my damage stat showing as zero or incorrect?
If mockTest is disabled, the mod estimates damage based on your held item and enchantments, which may not reflect actual damage in all situations. Enable mockTest in the config for more accurate readings, but be aware this may cause issues with certain other mods.
Does this mod show real-time armor durability?
Yes, the mod displays your current armor durability in real-time on the stats screen. You can monitor how much durability remains on each piece of armor while playing.
Can I use this mod with other mods that modify player stats?
X-PlayerInfo is designed to display stats rather than modify them, so it's generally compatible with other mods. However, if you enable mockTest, it may conflict with mods involving waystones or other interruptible actions—test carefully if you use those mods.
Where is the configuration file located?
The configuration file is located at 'config/X-PlayerInfo.json' in your Minecraft directory. You can edit this file with any text editor to customize the mod's behavior and appearance.
Does pressing TAB close the stats screen or does it stay open?
Pressing TAB opens the full-screen stats display; press it again or use your escape key to close the screen and return to normal gameplay.
What information does the mod NOT show?
X-PlayerInfo focuses on character stats like damage, armor, durability, XP, and movement. It does not track inventory contents, potion effects, or other players' information.
Does enabling mockTest affect my actual gameplay or inventory?
No, mockTest only simulates attacks to gather data and does not deal real damage or modify your inventory. It's purely for providing more accurate stat readings.
