How to Set Up Custom Chat Tabs and Filters in Wynntils

Wynncraft chat is noisy — party invites, territory messages, trade spam, and quest text all land in the same window. Wynntils lets you split that into tabs you actually want to read.

Creating a Chat Tab

Open the Wynntils chat settings and add a new tab. Name it something meaningful (Party, Guild, Trade, Info). Then choose which message categories feed into it. You can route only party chat into one tab, only guild chat into another, and leave everything else in the default tab.

Filtering Out Noise

Use the spam filter to suppress repeated identical messages, and enable the Wynncraft [INFO] filter to hide the constant system broadcasts you do not care about. The territory changes filter is worth turning on if you are tired of seeing every territory flip scroll past while you are doing something else.

Quality-of-Life Chat Features

Turn on timestamps so you can tell when something was said, enable the transparent chat window if you want to see the world behind your chat, and switch on chat mentions so you get alerted when your name is used. Clickable party invites, trade messages, and duel requests mean you can accept or decline straight from chat instead of typing commands. If you play with Wynnic speakers, the Wynnic translator and chat translator convert messages for you.
