How to Configure the Minimap, Compass Beacon, and Territory Oversight

The minimap and its supporting overlays are what make Wynntils feel like a proper navigation suite rather than a plain map mod.

Minimap Basics

Open the Wynntils map settings and enable the minimap. Choose its corner, size, and whether it rotates with your facing or stays fixed north-up. Your waypoints, party members, and points of interest appear on it automatically. If the minimap feels crowded, reduce the icon scale or hide categories you do not need while travelling.

Compass Beacon

Enable the beacon beam so a vertical column of light marks your current compass target. This is far easier to spot across terrain than a small arrow. Set your compass target by selecting a waypoint or location, then follow the beam. It is especially handy in open areas where the minimap arrow is hard to read.

Territory Oversight

Territory oversight shows which guild controls the territory you are standing in and nearby ones. Turn it on if you are tracking territory flips, planning guild activity, or just want to know who owns the ground under your feet. Pair it with the territory changes chat filter so you get the information on screen without it flooding your chat.
