Improve Underwater Visibility

Understand the Water Clarity Feature

Wozt Vanilla Plus Shaders improves water transparency by default, allowing you to see further when swimming underwater. This is one of the shader's core features and works automatically without additional configuration.

Maximize Your View Distance

To get the best underwater visibility:

1. Ensure your render distance is set to a comfortable level in your video settings

2. Confirm you're using at least the Medium quality profile, which includes enhanced water clarity

3. Remove water-obscuring effects by staying away from murky biomes or deep caves

Practical Benefits

With improved water clarity, you can:

  • Spot underwater structures and caves more easily
  • Navigate ocean floors without constant disorientation
  • Find aquatic mobs and resources from greater distances
  • Build underwater bases with better visibility of your work

Limitations

Note that water clarity depends on your quality profile setting. Lower profiles may not show the same improvement. Also, the shader respects Minecraft's natural lighting, so deep underwater areas will still be darker than shallow waters.
