Wozt Vanilla Plus Shaders FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on the shader after installing it?
Open your Options menu, go to Video Settings, then select Shaders. Find Wozt Vanilla Plus Shaders in the list and click it to activate. You'll see the changes take effect immediately in your world.
Which quality profile should I use if my computer is old?
Start with the Potato profile, which is optimized for older machines and basic graphics cards while still showing the shader's lighting improvements. You can always switch to Medium or High if your computer handles it well.
Why does my game look too dark or too bright?
This shader emphasizes warm, bright sunlight, so outdoor areas will be noticeably brighter than vanilla Minecraft. If interiors feel too dark by comparison, try adjusting your monitor's brightness or switching to a lower quality profile if performance allows.
Can I use this shader with other mods?
Wozt Vanilla Plus Shaders works with most mods, but mods that heavily change lighting, water, or sky rendering may conflict. Test your mod combination in a test world first to check for visual issues.
How do I see the animated plants moving?
Plant animations like swaying leaves and grass are enabled by default and visible in all quality profiles. Make sure you're looking at leaves, grass, or other plant blocks in moving water or wind to see the effect clearly.
Why is my underwater visibility still limited?
The Improve Underwater Visibility feature clears up water fog, but you still can't see as far as on land. Swim closer to distant objects or use the Cinematic profile for maximum underwater sight distance if your computer can handle it.
Do the blocky clouds affect my performance?
The 3D Blocky Clouds are designed to run efficiently even on older computers, but if you're getting frame drops, try lowering your quality profile or disabling clouds in the shader options if that setting is available.
Can I customize individual shader features?
You can switch between the four quality profiles (Potato, Medium, High, Cinematic) from the shader menu, which adjusts multiple settings at once. Some shaders allow fine-tuning in advanced options, but Wozt prioritizes simplicity and performance.
Why do my screenshots look different from the wiki examples?
The wiki screenshots use different quality profiles and were taken at different times of day and in different lighting conditions. Your results will vary based on your chosen profile, world location, and time of day in-game.
Does this shader work in the Nether or End?
Yes, the shader applies to all dimensions, though the warm lighting effect is most noticeable in the Overworld during daytime. The Nether and End will still benefit from improved lighting and water clarity.
