World Play Time Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I see how long I've played a world?
Open the singleplayer world selection screen and look at the tag beside each world's name. The tag shows the time you've spent in that world, so you don't need to enter it or open the F3 screen.
Where does the time tag appear?
It shows up next to the world name in the world selection list, alongside the other world info like the version and last-played date. You don't need to load the world to read it.
Does the mod count time while the game is paused?
The mod tracks time spent in the world itself, so pausing the game or sitting in menus doesn't add to your total. Only the time you're actually playing in that world counts.
Why is the mod's time different from the F3 day counter?
The F3 screen counts in-game days, which can be thrown off by commands like /time set or /gamerule doDaylightCycle. The mod tracks real elapsed play time instead, so it stays accurate even if you've messed with in-game time.
Does the mod work on servers or only singleplayer?
The time tag is designed for the singleplayer world selection screen, so it shows time for your local worlds. On a multiplayer server, the world isn't stored locally the same way, so the tag won't reflect your server playtime.
Will the mod slow down my game or affect performance?
The mod only reads and displays stored playtime, so it has essentially no impact on performance. It doesn't run heavy background processes while you play.
Is the mod compatible with other world-info or UI mods?
It generally works alongside mods that add info to the world selection screen, though two mods trying to place text in the same spot can overlap. If the tag looks crowded or hidden, check your other UI mods' settings.
The time tag is missing from my world. What's wrong?
Make sure the mod is actually loaded for the correct game version and that you're looking at the world selection screen, not the world creation screen. If it's still missing, check for a conflicting mod that overhauls the world list.
The time tag isn't updating after I play. Why?
The tag refreshes when the world list is rebuilt, so exit back to the main menu and reopen the world selection screen to see the latest time. If it still doesn't change, the world may not be saving properly or another mod is interfering.
Can I find my most-played world quickly?
Yes, just scan the tags on the world selection screen and compare the times. The world with the largest displayed time is your most-played one, no need to open each world individually.
