Protect Your Server Spawn from Accidental Damage

Set Up Spawn Protection

Your server spawn is vulnerable to both player mistakes and explosions. World Guard Region Protect Plugin locks down these critical areas.

Step 1: Create the WorldGuard region

First, use WorldGuard's selection tools to define your spawn area. Use //wand to select corners, then create the region with WorldGuard commands.

Step 2: Add protection through the plugin

Once your spawn region exists in WorldGuard, run:

/wgrp addregion spawn world

`

Replace spawn with your region name and world with your world name.

Step 3: Grant builder access

Trusted staff who need to edit spawn should receive the wgrp.regionprotect permission. Without this, even operators cannot place or break blocks.

Enable Alerts

Assign the wgrp.notify.admin permission to moderators. They'll receive notifications whenever someone attempts to edit the protected zone, helping you catch griefing attempts immediately.

Run /wgrp reload after making permission changes to apply them instantly.
