Create a Building Zone Where Players Can Break and Place Blocks

Set Up a Player Build Area

You want strict protection overall, but need specific zones where players can freely build. The plugin supports sub-zones with custom permissions.

Step 1: Create your build zone in WorldGuard

Define a smaller region within or separate from your protected area using WorldGuard's selection and region creation commands.

Step 2: Add it to the plugin

/wgrp addregion creative world

Step 3: Grant build permissions

Give players the wgrp.regionprotect permission to allow building in this specific zone. You can assign this per-player or per-group using your permissions plugin.

Manage Access

Players with wgrp.regionprotect can place and break blocks in protected regions. Without this permission, they cannot edit anything.

Use your permissions plugin to assign this selectively—perhaps only to trusted members or within specific regions. Run /wgrp reload after updating permissions to apply changes immediately.
