Stop Fire and Lava from Destroying Your World

Disabling Fire Spread Globally or by Region

Fire spread can quickly spiral out of control and ruin landscapes. World Guard lets you disable it entirely or only in specific areas.

Global Fire Control

1. Access the main configuration file for World Guard.

2. Locate the fire-spread setting and toggle it off. This prevents fire from spreading to adjacent blocks anywhere on the server.

3. Save and reload the configuration so changes take effect.

Regional Fire Control

If you only want to protect certain areas:

1. Create or select an existing protected region using the region tools.

2. Apply fire-spread protection specifically to that region. Players can still use fire in unprotected areas.

3. Also disable lava fire if you want to prevent lava from igniting blocks in that zone.

Additional Protections

Consider pairing fire protection with TNT explosion blocking and leaf decay prevention to fully safeguard forests and wooden structures. These settings work together to create truly safe building zones.
