Create a Protected Region Where Only You Can Build
Setting Up Your Protected Zone
Protected regions are the core of World Guard. They let you claim land and control who can place or break blocks within it.
Steps
1. Define the region boundaries using the region selection tool. Stand at one corner of your desired area and mark it, then move to the opposite corner and mark that too. This creates a rectangular protected space.
2. Create the region with a command, giving it a memorable name. This registers the area in World Guard's system.
3. Add yourself as owner so the plugin recognizes you have full control. Other players you add as members can also build, but owners have additional permissions.
4. Set block-breaking and block-placing rules to restrict these actions to owners and members only. By default, strangers won't be able to damage your builds.
5. Test the protection by having another player try to break a block. They should be unable to do so.
Optional Enhancements
Consider also protecting against explosions, fire spread, and crop trampling within the same region for complete safety. You can layer multiple protections on one area.
