How to Safely Loop Through the Nether Without Dying
The Lava Problem
Looping in the Nether is dangerous because the matching coordinate on the opposite side might land you inside lava, fire, or a cliff. The mod is designed to check the destination before teleporting you, so you are not dropped into something that can hurt you.
How the Safety Check Works
When you cross the Nether border, the mod scans the arrival point. If the spot is unsafe, it adjusts your landing position to a safe location nearby rather than teleporting you straight into danger. You do not need to configure this manually; it happens automatically as long as looping is enabled for the Nether.
Preparing Before You Cross
Even with the safety check, bring fire resistance potions or a water bucket equivalent if your modpack allows it. Build a small platform or marker at the border crossing point on both sides so you have a known safe landing zone. This reduces reliance on the automatic adjustment.
Testing Your Crossing
Walk through the Nether border once in a controlled way, ideally with low-value gear, to confirm where you land. Note the coordinates and build a safe hub there. Once verified, you can cross repeatedly with confidence.
