World Border Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I set up the world border in the first place?
Open the mod's config file and set your desired border size for the dimension you want to limit. The border is applied automatically on world load, so no commands or blocks are needed to activate it.
Why can't I see the world border?
The World Border Mod's borders are intentionally invisible, unlike vanilla's glowing barrier. You'll only know you're near one because the mod sends you an in-game chat message as you approach or cross it.
What happens when I walk past the border?
If looping is enabled, you're teleported to the opposite side of the world at the matching coordinate instead of being blocked. If looping is disabled, you simply can't pass through.
How do I turn on looping so the world wraps around?
Enable the looping option in the config for the dimension you want. Once on, reaching a positive coordinate edge teleports you to the equivalent negative coordinate edge, and vice versa.
Can I set different border sizes for the Overworld, Nether, and End?
Yes, each dimension has its own border settings in the config. Set them independently so your Nether or End can be a different size than the Overworld.
How do I stop getting teleported into lava when looping in the Nether?
The mod already checks the destination before teleporting you in the Nether and avoids placing you in lava or other damaging blocks. Just make sure looping is enabled for the Nether in the config.
How do I know when I'm getting close to the border?
The mod automatically sends you an in-game message when you're near the border and another when you cross it. No setup is required for these warnings.
Does this mod work with other world generation or dimension mods?
It works alongside mods that add dimensions as long as those dimensions are configured in the mod's config. Mods that heavily alter chunk loading or teleportation may conflict, so test in a backup world first.
Will the World Border Mod hurt my performance?
The mod is lightweight and only checks player positions against the border, so performance impact is minimal. Lag is more likely to come from other mods or large world sizes than from the border itself.
I changed the border size in the config but nothing happened, what did I do wrong?
Config changes usually require a world reload or game restart to take effect. Also double-check you edited the config for the correct dimension, since each one has its own border entry.
