What Deaths Make the Wither Sound Play

The Wither Death Sounds Mod doesn't trigger for every type of death in Minecraft. Knowing which deaths activate the sound helps you understand when to expect it during gameplay.

Deaths That Trigger the Sound

• Weapon kills: Sword, axe, mace, or spear damage from players or mobs
• Mob defeats: Any hostile or neutral mob that kills a player in survival mode
• Explosions: TNT, TNT minecarts, and other explosive damage

Deaths That Don't (Yet) Trigger the Sound

• Lava damage
• Drowning
• Fall damage
• Void damage
• Other environmental hazards

This means the mod is most useful during combat-focused scenarios. If your server focuses on PvP or mob-fighting challenges, you'll hear the sound frequently. In peaceful exploration or building, deaths from environmental causes won't trigger the audio alert.
