Make Custom Trees Work with Falling Tree Mod

Enable Mixed Log Chopping

The Falling Tree mod normally only recognizes vanilla tree types. To make it chop down Wildwood Topography's custom trees with realistic branches, you need to enable mixed log support.

Open .minecraft/config/fallingtree.json in a text editor.

Activate the Setting

Find the line allowMixedLogs and set it to true. Save the file.

Test Your Setup

Load into your world and approach one of the mod's custom trees—look for trees with detailed branching or unusual shapes. Use your Falling Tree mod's designated action (usually right-click or a keybind) on the trunk. The entire custom tree structure should now fall and break into logs.

If trees still don't fall, verify both mods are installed and the configuration file was saved correctly. The setting only affects newly-felled trees, not ones already chopped before enabling it.
