Wildwood Topography Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Where do I find the config file to turn off certain features?
Open `.minecraft/config/biomas_vanilla_renovados_configuration.toml` in a text editor. This file contains toggles for structures like inselberg rocks, ponds, and trees across different biomes—set any to `false` to disable them in your world.
Do custom trees work with the Falling Tree mod?
By default, no. To make Falling Tree chop down Wildwood's custom trees, open `.minecraft/config/fallingtree.json` and set `allowMixedLogs` to `true`.
Will this mod conflict with my terrain generation mod?
Wildwood Topography is designed to work alongside terrain mods like Tectonic, Lithosphere, and Epic Terrain. If you experience overlapping terrain, check both mods' config files to disable conflicting features in one of them.
Which biomes get the biggest changes from this mod?
Jungles, taigas, swamps, cherry groves, and mountain biomes see the most dramatic updates with new tree shapes, ponds, and rock formations. Over 35 vanilla biomes are affected in total.
Can I disable just inselberg rocks but keep the trees?
Yes. In the configuration file, find `generationInselbergRocks` and set it to `false` while leaving other generation settings enabled.
Do I need to create a new world for the mod to work?
Yes, Wildwood Topography modifies world generation, so you need to create a new world after installing it. Existing worlds won't have the custom terrain and trees.
Why do some of my trees look vanilla while others look custom?
Different biomes have different tree generation settings in the config. Check `biomas_vanilla_renovados_configuration.toml` to ensure tree generation is enabled for the specific biomes you're exploring.
Does this mod affect performance or FPS?
The mod adds more detail to terrain and trees, which can impact performance depending on your hardware. If you experience lag, try disabling inselberg rocks or ponds in the config to reduce generation complexity.
Can I use this mod with mods that add new biomes?
Wildwood Topography only affects vanilla biomes. New biomes from other mods won't be changed unless the mod author specifically adds support for them.
What's the difference between the bushes and saplings this mod adds?
Bushes are decorative vegetation scattered across biomes for visual detail, while saplings are plantable blocks that grow into the mod's custom tree shapes when you use bonemeal or wait for natural growth.
