Whats Vanilla Pvp Pack Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I enable the resource pack after downloading it?
Open your Resource Packs folder in Minecraft, place the pack file there, then go to Options > Resource Packs and move What's Vanilla PVP Pack from Available to Selected. Make sure it's positioned above the Default pack in your list.
Does this pack work with other PvP resource packs?
You can use it alongside other packs, but place What's Vanilla PVP Pack higher in your resource pack list so its textures take priority. Conflicts may occur if another pack modifies the same elements like shields or fire overlays.
Why can't I see the fire overlay anymore?
The pack lowers fire and soul fire overlays by design so flames don't block your view during combat. If you want to see fire again, move What's Vanilla PVP Pack below other packs in your resource pack list or disable it temporarily.
How do I make ores easier to spot with this pack?
The pack automatically adds bright colored outlines to ores and specific blocks once enabled—no additional setup needed. The outlines make resources stand out against stone and other blocks without changing the core Minecraft aesthetic.
Does the shield change affect my blocking ability in PvP?
No, the lowered shield model and reduced screen space are purely visual changes. Your blocking mechanics and damage reduction work exactly the same; this pack just makes it easier to see past your shield during fights.
Will this pack affect my FPS or performance?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact since they only change textures and overlays. You may see a tiny difference depending on your hardware, but this pack is lightweight and shouldn't cause noticeable lag.
Can I use this pack on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so servers won't detect or block it. Other players won't see your visual changes, and you won't gain any gameplay advantages that violate server rules.
What's the difference between the fire and soul fire changes?
Both fire and soul fire overlays are lowered so neither blocks your view, and the pack removes fire smoke and explosion particles during combat. Soul fire appears in the Nether, while regular fire is more common in the Overworld.
Does the totem of undying animation still show when I pop one?
Yes, the totem animation still plays but it's shrunk and moved below your crosshair with fewer particles, so it doesn't distract you during intense fights.
Why does the pumpkin overlay disappear when I wear a pumpkin?
The pack removes the dark pumpkin blur overlay entirely so you can see clearly while wearing a pumpkin. This is especially useful for avoiding Endermen in the End without sacrificing visibility.
