Set Up Your First Welcome Message

Locate Your Config File

Find the Welcome Message Mod config file in your server or client config folder. The file is typically named something like welcomemessage.toml or welcomemessage.json depending on your mod version.

Edit the Message

Open the config file in a text editor. Look for the first message field (usually labeled message1 or similar). Replace the default text with your custom welcome message. You can use any text you want—greetings, server rules, or important announcements.

Choose a Color

Find the color setting for your message. The mod supports all 16 standard Minecraft chat colors. Select your color by name (like gold, aqua, red, or white). Check the mod's documentation or config comments for the full list of available color names.

Save and Test

Save your config file. If you're on a server, restart it or reload the mod. If you're in single-player, restart your world. Join the game and you should see your custom message appear in chat when you spawn or rejoin.

If the message doesn't appear, double-check your config syntax and ensure the mod is enabled.
