Customize Message Colors for Better Visibility
Understand Color Options
Welcome Message Mod supports 16 Minecraft chat colors. Common colors include black, dark blue, dark green, dark aqua, dark red, dark purple, gold, gray, dark gray, blue, green, aqua, red, light purple, yellow, and white. Each has a distinct appearance in chat.
Choose Colors by Contrast
Select colors that stand out from typical chat messages. Bright colors like gold, aqua, and light purple are more noticeable than dark colors. If you're using multiple messages, pick different colors so each message is visually distinct.
Apply Colors to Your Messages
In your config file, find the color field for each message (usually color1, color2, color3). Enter the color name exactly as specified in the mod's documentation—spelling and case matter.
Test on Your Server
Save your config and restart. Join and observe how the colors appear on your screen. If colors seem hard to read or don't match your server's aesthetic, adjust them. Remember that player monitors and Minecraft settings can affect how colors appear, so test with different brightness levels if possible.
Experiment until you find a color scheme that looks professional and catches players' attention.
